Elandra lived her early childhood years in the An’delli Forrest where she especially excelled in dance. When she was 38 years old, a group of Validras raiders attacked her village and killed many of the inhabitants. The raiders noted Elandra’s exceptional beauty (even for an elf), and decided to take her captive. On returning to Validras, the raiders sold her into prostitution.
For the next 14 years, Elandra lived the life of an elite escort. Her slavers took her from city to city across Validras where rich nobles would pay a high price for her company. During this time she perfected many of her charismatic qualities. Sometimes she would also try to escape, but this led to brutal beatings which deterred future attempts.
One frequent client in the capitol city of Lysidia was a noble by the name of Jonathan Riker. He was so enamored with Elandra that he purchased the elf for a large sum (and with not a little bit of threatening the slavers). Her new role was to be the favorite courtesan and mistress. During this time she learned much about the nobles in Lysidia. She also utilized her marginally greater freedom, and frequently would disappear for hours at a time. She was never able to leave the manor unattended though, due to the strict instructions of the guards.
After some 6 years living with Riker, Elandra finally escaped from captivity. Over time she amassed a moderate sum of money, commoner’s clothing, and other items. She even had been able to obtain a sleeping potion, which she used to put Riker to sleep in the early morning. Taking on a disguise of a common maid, she managed to flee the manor. Knowing that she would be persued, she immediately left the city and made her way along the river toward Fallerun.
Upon awaking, Riker was furious and sent out many guards to find Elandra. But although they searched the roads and countryside for days, the elf was able to evade them.
Elandra’s long captivity had turned her heart cold. Although she had oft feigned happiness and friendliness, inwardly she despised all around her. She had long forsaken the elven gods of her youth and had vowed vengance against both her captors. Eventually her distain of the noble lifestyle deepened her hatred until she desired vengeance on all of Validras.
In Fallerun, Elandra’s roguish qualities served her well. She quickly learned to put her skills to use in thevery and the occasional murder when things went sour. During this time, she met up with Asmodeus. Sharing a common hatred of the kingdom, they quickly became allies. Elandra has used her thievery to help finance some of Asmodeus’ goals and has accompanied him on several adventures.
